Hardly ever do I think about my age.  Hardly ever do I think about how life has gone by.  But for some reason today I thought about it.  Maybe it is the wind blowing outside my windows, the hurricane at my door, that gave me pause to think.  It has occurred to me today, if I take the sum total of everything in my life, the joys do outweigh the sorrows. I guess that is because through wisdom of age, there is no reason to keep in my heart that which no longer brings joy.  It feels good to empty my heart of all that does not matter.
